Process exhaust air from the coating industry often contains volatile organic compounds (VOC) that must not be released into the environment via the clean air stack.

A regenerative thermal oxidiser or a catalytic oxidiser often offer the best solution. Depending on the VOC concentration, an upstream concentration step may be integrated in order to optimally utilise the caloric value of the VOCs for their oxidation. This achieves a high level of energy efficiency.
